When is the best time to visit Madrid?

Madrid can be visited all year round, but it is not always equally enjoyable.

Spring (April–June)
The best option. Good weather, the city is green, terraces are packed, and there is lots of cultural life. It's easy to walk around, and everything fits together.

Fall (September–October)
Almost as good as spring. Fewer tourists, mild temperatures, and leisurely cultural activities. Ideal if you're looking for peace and quiet without sacrificing atmosphere.

Summer (July–August)
It's hot, very hot. On the other hand, there are fewer people and hotels are cheaper. The city comes alive at night. Only recommended if you can tolerate high temperatures.

Winter (November–February)
Moderate cold, cultural activities, and good prices. December has a Christmas atmosphere; January and February are quiet and inexpensive.
